The CLS-Class comes in three available models: the CLS 550, CLS 550 4MATIC®, and the AMG® CLS 63 S. Each of the models offer their own model-exclusive features so that you can find the model that suits your lifestyle best. The CLS 550 is similar to the CLS 550 4MATIC®, but the CLS 550 4MATIC® has exclusive features like Active Blind Spot Detection and the innovative 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system.
The AMG® CLS 63 S focuses on a sportier design and performance. It comes with an AMG® Performance 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system, AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 7-speed transmission, and AMG® high-performance braking system. Additionally, the AMG® CLS 63 S model's high-performance features are reflected in the design of the cabin with features like rubber-studded aluminum pedals.
High-Performance Features
Mercedes-Benz performance features are well known for providing smooth handling and responsive driving. The new CLS-Class Coupe takes these elements to a new level with advanced performance features.
The CLS 550 comes with a standard 4.7-liter V8 biturbo engine that produces 402 horsepower. This engine is not only designed to allow you to accelerate with complete control from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, but since it can deliver more torque from less fuel, you also have better fuel economy.
The rapid-multispark ignition can fire up to four times per millisecond, and the high-pressure Direct Injection dials in fuel spray in 0.1 milliseconds, which further reduces fuel consumption while also reducing emissions and noise.
The AMG® CLS 63 S has similar multispark and millisecond-quick Direct Injection capabilities but also achieves a staggering 577 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque by use of a handcrafted AMG® 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine.
All three models, the CLS 550, CLS 550 4MATIC®, and the AMG® CLS 63 S, come with an ECO Start/Stop system that shuts off the engine during idle situations, cutting fuel emissions. As soon as you lift your foot from the gas pedal, the engine instantly restarts for immediate acceleration. This feature can be turned off at any time.
The CLS 550 and CLS 550 4MATIC® both come with the AIRMATIC® adaptive air suspension that balances all types of driving styles. The Sport and Comfort modes let you match the handling character to your preferred driving style. This suspension can also sense high speeds, passengers, and cargo and will adjust accordingly.
The AMG® CLS 63 S comes with an AMG® RIDE CONTROL Sport Suspension for a sportier driving experience and excellent control in all driving conditions. The suspensions dampening is electronically controlled and instantly reacts to decrease body roll, pitch, dive.
