The Mercedes-Benz GLC is available to drivers in five trim levels: GLC 300, GLC 300 4Matic, AMG GLC 43, AMG GLC 63, and AMG GLC 63 S (all-new to the 2022 model year). What's New For 2022
The Mercedes-Benz GLC makes a handful of changes, with the biggest one probably being the introduction of the new AMG GLC 63 S trim. Other than the new AMG trim, the Mercedes-Benz GLC gets a host of standard feature updates and a few other minor changes to other trims. The 2022 GLC makes some tweaks to standard equipment, adding in adaptive high-beam assist, parking damage protection, rear USB ports, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with the AMG GLC 43. The AMG GLC 63 S trim makes the biggest splash, offering drivers a pure performance iteration of the GLC. The AMG GLC 63 S trim comes with a new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The AMG GLC 63 S also gets a sport-tuned suspension, 4Matic all-wheel drive, and a variable torque distribution system to help take on tough roads with ease
Interior Features
If you're interested in purchasing a new Mercedes-Benz GLC for its luxury, then you can rest easy. The Mercedes-Benz GLC offers up a suave, classically elegant set of interior features across its trims. The base GLC 300 trim comes with heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, steering wheel touch button controls, and power front seats with driver seat memory. Interior trim includes Black MB-tex and natural grain walnut wood. Stepping to a higher trim level ensures even more luxury, with the AMG trims coming with a supremely impressive set of comfort and convenience features to enjoy. The AMG GLC 63 comes with tri-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof.
Performance
The Mercedes-Benz GLC goes above and beyond in the performance realm, offering drivers a total of four engine options. The base engine that comes with the Mercedes-Benz GLC is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that makes 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be had with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Once you move beyond the base 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine, you can enjoy standard all-wheel drive. That's right, the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, and 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 (AMG GLC 63 S) all come standard with all-wheel drive. The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine comes with the GLC 43 trim, providing drivers 385 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. If more power is needed, then drivers can look to the AMG trims for assistance.
Technology
Tech ranges greatly, with options varying by trim. One of the great things about the new GLC is that regardless of the trim selected, drivers can look forward to an impressive set of tech. The GLC 300 trim comes with all the classic tech features you'd expect, like an HD Radio, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and voice control. Stepping to higher trims ensures an even more robust set of tech. The AMG GLC 63, for instance, adds a 13-speaker Burmester premium sound system while also offering up additional tech in the form of upgrades. Optional upgrades include wireless charging, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera system, and a multimedia package (navigation system with augmented reality). The new Mercedes-Benz GLC makes a modern set of tech available nom atter the trim selected.
Safety
The Mercedes-Benz GLC makes a variety of driver assistance features and classic safety equipment available, with all trim levels coming standard with a whole bundle of driver assistance features. The base GLC 300 trim includes forward collision mitigation, rear cross traffic alert, automated parking system, and blind spot monitoring.
